Our Ingredients
Sunny
Meadows Farm Soaps are especially good for your skin because of
our particular and, we feel, special ingredient list.
The glycerin in our soaps is fruit-derived and is a natural humectant, meaning that it draws moisture from the air to itself. When you wash with our soaps, your skin will continue to feel moist and supple long after your bath or shower.

The
goats’ milk in our recipes contains easily-absorbed fatty acids
that soften your skin and keep it from drying out. The milk also yields
a wonderful, creamy lather. Cows milk, whether in the form of
buttermilk, cream or yogurt, has long been used in beauty treatments
because of it’s gentle moisturizing qualities. We like to use our own
buttermilk, fresh from Buttercup our cow.The benefits of the honey in our soaps are endless: honey is antibacterial, antiviral, plus, soothing to the skin.
The oils and butters that we use add further skin-softening benefits, while the whole grains act as exfoliants, lifting dead skin cells and renewing your complexion.
Our
fruits and vegetables act as skin-fresheners, using natural enzymes
to rejuvenate your skin. Our flowers and herbs each bring different
qualities to the soaps: some herbs, like calendula, have long been
known for their healing properties, while lavender is an aromatic. A few of our soap recipes are labeled “all vegetable”- meaning that no artificial fragrances or colors have been added; only essential oils and naturally-occurring colors. Our other recipes contain cosmetic-grade (synthetic) fragrances and soap or food colors to enhance the appearance and add a terrific scent.
